NoiseDisplay ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website located at noisedisplay.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it.

2. Information we collect

We collect the minimum information necessary to operate the service.

Information you provide directly:

• Email address — only if you contact us via email or subscribe to Pro
• Payment information — collected and processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store card numbers, bank details, or billing addresses

Information collected automatically:

• Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) — retained for up to 30 days for security and diagnostic purposes only
• If Google AdSense is active on free tier pages, Google may set cookies and collect usage data per their own privacy policy

What we do NOT collect:

• We do not require account creation
• We do not track your identity across sessions
• We do not record which sounds you play or how long you use the app
• We do not use tracking pixels or fingerprinting

3. How we use your information

• To respond to support and contact requests
• To process Pro subscription payments via Stripe
• To diagnose technical errors using server logs
• To serve contextual advertising on free tier pages via Google AdSense

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

4. Cookies & local storage

NoiseDisplay uses your browser's local storage to save your preferences (volume, selected noise type, display mode) between visits. This data lives only in your browser and is never transmitted to our servers.

Google AdSense (shown on the free tier) may set cookies on your device. You can manage or disable these via your browser settings or through Google's Ad Settings at adssettings.google.com.

5. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions. See stripe.com/privacy
• Google AdSense — advertising on free tier pages. See policies.google.com/privacy

• Google Fonts — typography loaded from Google's servers. See Google's privacy policy above

6. Data retention

Server logs are retained for up to 30 days. If you contact us by email, we retain that correspondence for as long as necessary to resolve your inquiry. Stripe retains payment records per their own data retention policies and applicable law.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict processing of your data
• Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority

8. Children's privacy

NoiseDisplay is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
